After the Gavel- Women’s Reproductive Health Options in NC

The League will welcome invited professionals from the medical, governmental, and policy sectors. Panelists include:

Susan Trueblood, a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She has worked for Dare County Department of Health and Human Services since February of 2019 after returning home to Eastern NC. Her focus in the Clinic is Women’s Health.

Jillian Riley of Planned Parenthood, South Atlantic. She holds a Master’s of Social Work in Community Management and Policy Practice and a Graduate Minor in Public Policy from UNC Chapel Hill. She’sworked across the state for many years as a grassroots organizer and policy advocate on environmental, housing, and reproductive rights issues.

Dr. Jonelle U. Haigh is an obstetrician-gynecologist in Nags Head, North Carolina and is affiliated with Outer Banks Hospital. She received her medical degree from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been in practice between 11-20 years.

Sarah Preston, she joined Lillian’s List after almost a decade as the Policy Director at the American Civil Liberties Union of NC. She has experience advocating for reproductive freedom and working with policy-makers at the state and local level. Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from St. Catherine University, a women’s university in Minnesota, and her law degree from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. Sarah is well equipped to give us a legal perspective.
